1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using SitByFire ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our Service.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use SitByFire. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to request proof of age and to terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.
3. Account and Anonymous Usage
- Anonymous Accounts: SitByFire uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. You can create an account by selecting a username without providing personal information.
- Username Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your username.
- Username Changes: Usernames may be changed, subject to availability and our content policies.
- Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all associated data (username, messages, votes) will be permanently removed from our systems.
4. Service Description
SitByFire is a real-time chat platform where users can:
- Create or join public chat rooms called "Campfires"
- Send messages visible to all users in a Campfire
- Report inappropriate content or users
5. User-Generated Content
- Content Ownership: You retain all rights to the content you post. By posting content on SitByFire, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your content as necessary to provide the Service.
- Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content you post on SitByFire. We are a platform provider and do not pre-screen, monitor, or control user content.
- Platform Liability: SitByFire is not responsible or liable for any content posted by users. We provide the platform; users control and are responsible for the content.
6. Community Moderation
Users can report content or other users that violate these Terms. We reserve the right to review reported content and remove content or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service design and content (excluding user content) is owned by SitByFire.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
11. Limitation of Liability
SitByFire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

At SitByFire, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Username: The only personally identifiable information you provide.
- Messages: Stored and displayed in Campfires.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, etc., collected by Firebase.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, authenticate your account, and improve the Service.
3. Data Sharing
Your username and messages are public to users in the Campfire. We use Firebase (Google) for backend services.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained until you delete your account. Messages are deleted when the Campfire is deleted.
